Material Selection for Purpose

Different applications demand different materials. Chain link provides economical, durable perimeter definition with options for privacy and security enhancement. Ornamental steel and aluminum deliver architectural presence with genuine security. Welded wire and palisade systems offer anti-climb protection without the institutional look of chain link.

Material choice involves trade-offs. Chain link costs less but may not fit architectural requirements. Ornamental fencing looks better but costs more and may require more maintenance. Welded mesh offers excellent security but limited aesthetic options. We help clients understand these trade-offs and select materials that fit both requirements and budget.

Permits and Compliance

Fence permits vary by jurisdiction. Some cities require permits for all fences. Others only regulate height or location. Most require permits for powered gates. We know local requirements and handle permit applications as part of our scope.

Code compliance extends beyond permits. Setback requirements affect fence placement. Height limits restrict design options. Visibility triangles at intersections may require adjustments. Pool enclosure codes specify hardware and self-closing requirements. We design with these requirements in mind.

Fire department access is often overlooked until it becomes a problem. Gated properties must provide fire department access,usually Knox boxes or key switches. Fire lanes must remain accessible. We coordinate with fire marshals when required and ensure installations meet access requirements.
