Terms of Service

SECOMA FENCE, INC. — Service Call Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 2026

This Service Call Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Secoma Fence, Inc. (“Secoma,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 8021 Portland Ave E, Ste A, Tacoma, WA 98404, and the customer identified in the accompanying service request form (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”).

1. Scope of Services

Secoma Fence provides on-site diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for fencing, gate systems, gate automation equipment, access control systems, and related infrastructure (“Services”). The specific scope of work for each service call will be determined upon on-site evaluation by our technician.

2. Service Call Pricing

  • Diagnostic Fee: $295.00 per service call. This fee covers travel to your location and initial diagnosis of the reported issue. The diagnostic fee is non-refundable and must be paid before the service call is scheduled.
  • Labor Rate: $225.00 per hour, billed in fifteen (15) minute increments.
  • Parts and Materials: Billed separately at cost plus applicable markup.
  • Emergency/After-Hours Service: Service calls requested outside of standard business hours may be subject to additional charges.
  • Travel Surcharge: Service calls outside the 50-mile service area are subject to additional travel charged at $4.95 per mile (one-way).

3. Payment of Diagnostic Fee

The $295.00 diagnostic fee must be paid in full before a service call will be scheduled. Payment links are sent via email upon receipt of the service request.

4. Authorization and Approval

The diagnostic service call fee covers travel and the first fifteen (15) minutes of on-site diagnostic labor. Our technician will perform any repairs that can be completed during the diagnostic visit, provided the total cost of labor and parts does not exceed $1,000.00. By scheduling a service call, Customer authorizes Secoma to complete such repairs without additional approval. For repairs estimated to exceed $1,000.00 in total (labor + parts), Secoma reserves the right to require written authorization before proceeding.

5. Payment Terms

Payment for repairs is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing. Invoices not paid within thirty (30) days are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month.

6. Access and Site Conditions

Customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the equipment and work area. Secoma reserves the right to decline or cease work if site conditions are deemed unsafe.

7. Limitation of Liability

Secoma's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to Services performed under this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by Customer for the specific service call giving rise to the claim.

8. Cancellation Policy

Service calls may be cancelled with no charge if notice is given at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of $147.50. No-shows will be charged the full diagnostic fee.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Pierce County, Washington.

Warranty

SECOMA FENCE, INC. — Limited Warranty for Service and Repair Work

Effective Date: February 2026

1. Warranty Coverage

Secoma Fence, Inc. (“Secoma”) warrants that all repair and service work performed by Secoma technicians will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of completed service (“Warranty Period”). This warranty covers the labor and workmanship performed by Secoma only. It does not cover parts or materials, which are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties (if any).

2. Parts and Materials Warranty

Parts and materials installed during a service call are warranted by their respective manufacturers. Secoma will assist Customer in processing manufacturer warranty claims for parts installed by Secoma during the Warranty Period.

3. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, vandalism, or acts of God
  • Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by anyone other than Secoma
  • Normal wear and tear, including battery degradation, weathering of finishes, and wear on moving parts
  • Equipment or components not installed or serviced by Secoma
  • Failure resulting from electrical surges, power outages, or improper electrical supply
  • Issues arising from Customer's failure to perform recommended routine maintenance
  • Pre-existing conditions or defects present prior to Secoma's service
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

4. Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, Customer must contact Secoma at (253) 926-8600 or sales@secomafence.com within the Warranty Period, provide the original service date and invoice number, and allow Secoma reasonable access to inspect the reported issue.

5. Limitation of Warranty

THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY PROVIDED BY SECOMA FENCE, INC. FOR SERVICE AND REPAIR WORK. SECOMA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

6. Limitation of Remedy

Secoma's sole obligation under this warranty is to re-perform the covered work. In no event shall Secoma's liability under this warranty exceed the original amount paid by Customer for the specific service giving rise to the warranty claim.

7. Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original Customer and the original service location.
